Our Membership
Rotary Club of Kankaria (Ahmedabad) has a very distinguished membership since its inception. Individuals from various walks of life and very broad cross-section of the society have joined their hands and contributed to their social responsibility. Icons of very famous Cadila Group, Torrent Group, Meghmani Group, Hipolin Group, Wagh-Bakri group, leading industrialists from Vatva and Odhav, consultants, managers & owners of various trade and manufacturing enterprises, teachers, advocates, medical practitioners, builders, etc. have been our members. Many of our members have held responsible leadership positions in their professional associations.
Our Honorary Membership has seen people of the likes of corporate honchos, political and administrative dignitaries, religious leaders, trustees of various charitable organizations, chairmen of banks, distinguished doctors, social reformers and individuals living life based on Rotary Ideals.

Our Wings
Rotaract club — Rotary’s youth wing for men & women of 18 to 30 years of age, with the motto of “Fellowship through Service”, aimed at developing their professional skills and inculcating the value of “serviceto humanity”. We have 2 Rotaract clubs — Rotaract Club of Kankaria, an open community based club, and Rotaract Club of Nirma Institutes, an institution based club for students at the Nirma University. Both the clubs are very active and have brought Iaurels for their programs.

Interact Club — Rotary’s youth wing for school students of 14 to 18 years of age, aimed at developing leadership qualities and initiating them into Rotary’s service culture. Our Interact club is about 25 years old, and it has been awarded as the best Interact Club of the District for almost most of the years.

Our District Laurels:

We are proud to have our members placed ar almost all top level district posts, our pride RTN ASHISH DESAI has served as District Governor of our district in year 2012-13. Also our RTN. DHARMENDRA JOSHI has served as District Secretary and Assistant Governor and RTN. RAVI THAKKAR as Assistant District Governor in year 2014-15. RTN. NARENDRA PATEL, RTN. BHARAT PARIKH, RTN. KAPIL BHAVSAR & RTN. ASHISH DESAI served as Assistant District Governor in past. Many other Rotarians have also served as district chairman for various committees, till date.

GSE Team Leaders( Group study Exchange)
Our RTN. ASHISH DESAI lead District GSE Team to SRILANKA in 2000-01, and RTN. DHARMENDRAJOSHI lead the DistrictGSE Team to USA in 2012-13.
District Events
RC Kankaria has also hosted about 4 major District events including District conference, District Assembly and also an AGTS at Goa, which were all
successfully hosted. Besides these, we have hosted many seminars, meets and forums at district & multi District level.
